The Chopper

You may be wondering why our name is Ignition! or why we have flames on many of our outfits. You may even be wondering why we chose to have a motorcycle (a chopper) as the front of our CD. Well, if you found the link to this page then this is the place to find out.

As it turns out our lead is a card carrying member of the Hell's Angels, ok that's not true, but if you ever had to stay in the same room with him after having lunch at Chipotle you would understand why we he is equated with a fire from down below.

The truth is, Curtis grew up around motorcycles and has spent many years working on them. Now he has his own business (side business really) designing, building, and detailing custom choppers. The chopper that you see on the front of our CD (and in the background of the liner notes) is in fact a custom chopper that Curtis designed and built for himself.

Since the high powered, hard driving sound of the chopper was so similar to our singing style and stage exuberance we felt that the name Ignition! was good representation for the quartet. This also helps explain the use of blue flames as one of our logo treatments (even though you might think it has someting to do with Curtis' gas issue).
